Through

The Wire

You say stop, I say go, you say yes, I say no. I’m big, you’re small, I’m right you’re wrong, and there’s nothing you can do about it. To me the sky is blue; to you, it is a different hue. Dark like the depths of my worth or red like the crown of a newborn’s birth. We utter the same words yet speak a different tongue. Although these rhymes attempt to bind what is lost in the cracks of time, we sail to a place where we can take up space. To a land where we can all understand what it is to be seen without the violence of words and fly away to be one with the birds. As we climb this mountain to regain our sight and speak of the things we learned in the absence of light. Through the Wire is n exhibition that delves into the layers of how communication affects our societal perceptions, experiences, and livelihood.
